Love Happens

Love can happen at any time, at any place and anywhere. You can be any age, from 12 to 82. When it comes to affairs of the heart, there isn’t an age limit. Love can happen for any rhyme or reason, and all you have to do is to open your heart and let love in.

Love can happen when you least expect it. Conversely, if you do expect love to happen, then you may be disappointed. Often, when you’re actively searching for love, it doesn’t happen. It’s as if you’re trying too hard. Perhaps you’re subconsciously telling yourself that nobody will fall in love with you, even when you’re trying to go on dates with as many different people as possible. Or you may have been hurt in the past by someone you thought loved you and even though you‘re putting yourself out there, your heart is still too bruised and battered to be open to love.

Then, when you’re not even thinking about falling in love, you may meet that special person and bam! You’ve fallen in love with each other. You may not have even been doing anything special to attract love into your life, but just going about your normal day to day routine. You may have met your new love at the store, at work or when you took a stroll through the park. But the reason love happened was because your heart was open to the idea of love, even though you weren’t consciously searching for it.

In order to let love happen, it’s important to be happy with your life. Once you’re happy with yourself as a person, other people will want to get to know you and enjoy your company. So if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to do, like horse-back riding or ice skating, go ahead and take lessons, no matter how old you are. If you enjoy your life it will put a spring in your step and a smile in your heart. And living your life that way will attract love to you until suddenly, one day, love happens.
